Star Jones to Return to The View

The former co-host will promote a heart disease campaign.

Star Jones and Barbara Walters will bury the hatchet for at least a day when Jones returns to The View next month. The former co-host is scheduled to appear on the daytime talk show Feb. 22 to promote an awareness campaign about heart disease among women.

Things got ugly back in 2006 when ABC decided not to renew Jones' contract. She then announced that she would be leaving the show — much to Walters' surprise — but was given the boot the very next day. Both continued criticizing the other publicly, but then shared a serious event in 2010: they each had open heart surgery within two months of each other.

Jones will be on The View to talk about her work with the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women awareness campaign.
