As we near closer to the opening of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, where the Brooklyn Nets are scheduled to suit up for their inaugural NBA season, new details are emerging about the role hip hop mogul Jay-Z will play in the day-to-day operation of the multi-million dollar facility.

According to reports, Jay, a partial owner of the franchise, will also serve as the director of the Barclays Center. The Brooklyn born star shares the title with a host of other stakeholders, who will manage basketball and non-basketball events.

Barclays is scheduled to open this coming September with a concert hosted by the rapper.
