The singer felt Jennings should be opening for her.
Last night, K. Michelle was set to perform in Tampa alongside Lyfe Jennings and Musiq Soulchild. Hosted by Vybe Nation and 95.7 The Beat, a few local artists started the show off and got the crowd hype. Next up was K. Michelle, but the star reportedly decided she wouldn't go on before Jennings because she was a bigger star.
The crowd became restless and impatient, as the stage was dark for 45 minutes due to the arguments going on backstage. Eventually, Jennings came out and informed the crowd that K. Michelle was actually there, but didn't want to come out for some reason. The star was reportedly paid, so money wasn't the issue.
The second plan was for K. Michelle to come out and at least greet the crowd after Lyfe performed. However, the audience was so upset that any mention of her name caused the booing to start again. She ended up leaving the venue and never performing.
Jennings tweeted, "This @kmichelle is so funny. She dont wanna go on before me???? Before Lyfe??? Its cool i wish you the best love...We kilt it!!!"
K. Michelle released a few tweets about the incident but deleted them shortly after.
