The Queen of Pop has been secretly wed to Wissam Al Mana for months.
Janet Jackson is one member of the first family of music who likes to keep her personal life very private. Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Jackson has confirmed that she is now married to Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana.
Previous reports said the couple were engaged and planning a lavishly large ceremony, but those rumors have been proven not be true. Today, Jackson states that she and Mana have been married for months.
“The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony," the couple told Entertainment Tonight in a statement.
The newlyweds even elaborated on the wedding gifts they gave each other.
"Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children's charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy,” the couple said in the statement.
This marks the third marriage for The Queen of Pop. She was previously married to James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo.
