Jennifer Lopez Goes Back to the Bronx in "Same Girl" Video

J.Lo returns to her roots in visual for new single, co-written by Chris Brown.

Jennifer Lopez takes it back to New York City in the music video for the single "Same Girl," off her upcoming eighth studio album.

Lopez released a snippet of the visual early Monday morning (Jan. 13) via her official Facebook page with the message, "To all my die hards who have been there for me from the beginning….Coming soon."

The 45-second teaser finds the Bronx-born beauty in various shots throughout her home borough, riding the subway and proclaiming her "Same Girl" status with assertive lyrics. "Switched up my longitude and latitude/you in my way, you better move," she sings. "'Cause I'm on the same grind/No, I never changed I/Lovin' everyday I/Know that I'm the same Jenny from around the way."

"Same Girl" is penned by Lopez and Chris Brown and produced by Amadeus with help from One Republic front man Ryan Tedder, whose writing and production credits include Beyoncé, Adele, Leona Lewis and Jordan Sparks, among others.

Aside from prepping a new album, Lopez will mark her return as judge on American Idol, premiering Wednesday, Jan. 15.
