Nas to Executive Produce Bishop Nehru's Album
After dropping his MF DOOM collaboration, NehruvianDOOM, in September, teenage MC Bishop Nehru is already preparing to work on another. He's been officially co-signed by his mentor and Mass Appeal Records exec. Nas, who will be more hands on than fans may have expected.
Nas announced via Twitter Monday (Oct. 6) that he will be executive producing the debut, slated to drop in 2015. The record also will feature several appearances from God’s Son as well as a host of other high-profile artists, many of whom have already praised the Rockland County rapper.
Buzz has been building around Nehru since he stepped on the scene with Nehruvia, a 13-track project, when he was just 15. By the ripe age of 16 the rapper/producer, who has a conscious flow far beyond his time, had already worked with Wu-Tang Clan and DOOM and received compliments from Kendrick Lamar.
The hype resurfaced in 2013 after Nas brought Nehru out on the Mass Appeal stage at last year's SXSW, revealing to the world that he was the “future of music.” And it seems Bishop is just as excited. "Already started working on New stuff. - Nehruvians or Nada," he tweeted earlier today.
