Rapper Big Paybacc Shot Dead Inside McDonald's

California police say that the shooting was intentional and planned.

Palmdale, Calif., rapper Big Paybacc was shot and killed last Thursday (Nov. 6) inside a local McDonald's. According to police, the shooting was far from random as the gunman simply walked into the fast food joint, shot Paybacc once and left.

According to TMZ, Big Paybacc, born Habeeb Ameer Zekajj, was reportedly eating lunch around 12:30 p.m. when the gunman walked in and shot him once in front of 15 other customers before leaving on foot.

"There was no altercation that the [witnesses] saw," a rep for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department told CBS News. "This guy just walked in through one door, shot him and left out another door. So it looked like something personal. He had something against this individual. It wasn't like he shot up the McDonald's. He just shot him and left."

His girlfriend, Jessica Jefferson, was outraged at the way in which her boyfriend died. "For them to be that bold to run up to someone in a McDonald's in daylight, in front of people, kids, you know, and to just take some kind of vengeance on somebody, it's... it's inhumane," she told CBS.

Paybacc, 38, was best known for his popular YouTube videos, specifically his 2011 song "Gangsta Luv." He leaves behind three children.
