Jalen Hurts is on a mission to make history this season with back-to-back Super Bowl wins, and he’s as focused as ever.

While answering questions on the Philadelphia Eagles’ YouTube channel, Hurts shared the mentality and the core values that he has set in place in preparation for the upcoming season.

“Faith, family, and championships,” Hurts said to a fan when asked what were his core values.

Hurts then went on to explain that there is no challenge that he can’t take on because resilience is one of his superpowers.

“I don’t think there’s a mountain that I can’t climb because with my work ethic, I know I will. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when, and that’s just always been the mentality I’ve had because of the prep and the work, resilience, and all of the things of that nature,” he said.

Adversity’s a tricky thing because it’s all in how you see it. I look at adversity as a challenge,” Hurts continued. “It’s a healthy opportunity. It’s all it is, so you choose how you want to respond to it, and that’s what we all have in our power.”

Although he’s gained a reputation for his cool, stoic demeanor, Hurts expressed that he is passionate about the game and about winning.

“There’s a lot of passion that oozes from me when I overcome something, I conquer a moment, or take advantage of an opportunity. That brings a lot of passion from me. Whether I express it or not, that’s a whole ’nother situation,” Hurts explained. “But tons of passion in this game, this game I play, this game I love. I put so much time into it, so that’s what kind of unlocks that passion.”

The Philadelphia Eagles will begin their 2025 training camp on Tuesday, July 22nd, with players reporting to the NovaCare Complex. The first official practice will be held on July 23rd. 

To kick off the season, Hurts and the Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys on September 4.
