'BET Awards' 2026 Post Biggest Ratings on BET Since 2019 With Druski Hosting Culture's Biggest Night
"BET Awards" 2026 came home. The awards show hosted by first-time host Druski pulled its biggest and most engaged audience in years, per official ratings released Thursday. The 2026 edition ranks as the highest-rated "BET Awards" on BET since 2019 among adults 18 to 49.
Held Saturday, June 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Culture's Biggest Night saw year-over-year growth across every measurable category. Highlights include a 187% jump in digital views, 9.3 million social interactions, a 173% rise in livestream impressions, and record-breaking BET Experience weekend crowds topping 50,000.
Television Numbers
The show delivered a 50% year-over-year lift in P18-49 impressions on BET, with 624,000 impressions this year against 415,000 last year. Coverage Rating jumped 71%. Across 12 Paramount networks, the show drew 2.6 million P2+ viewers, up 18% year-over-year, with 1.4 million watching on BET alone, up 22%.
Young women powered the growth. W18-34 viewership was up 106%. W18-24 was up 144%. The immediate encore delivered triple-digit gains, with P18-49 Coverage Rating up 245% year-over-year. NPR's Tiny Desk, which debuted as the lead-in to the show with a Bow Wow performance, was up 40% year-over-year in P18-49 Coverage Rating.
"BET Awards" 2026 ranked as the #1 entertainment telecast on all of television for the day among P18-49, excluding sports.
Social and Digital
The community pushed the show to the center of the national conversation. "BET Awards" 2026 ranked as the #1 most social program across all of television, with 9.3 million interactions across broadcast and cable combined. BET itself was the #1 most social network across all of television for the day.
#BETAwards was the #1 most trending topic on X for 12 consecutive hours in the U.S. and 7 consecutive hours worldwide. Other trending topics included #Druski, #OlandriaxBETAwards, #Kehlani, #BowWow, and #LaurynHill. On Google Trends, the show landed in the Top 5 most searched topics of the day, with Lauryn Hill at #2 and BET Awards at #5.
The 2026 BET Awards "Red Carpet Live!" presented by Hyundai and McDonald's grew YouTube livestream viewership by 152% in views, 160% in minutes watched, and 173% in impressions year-over-year.
BET Experience Weekend
More than 50,000 fans came out across the BET Experience weekend. Celebrity Basketball, which moved to USC, drew more than 4,000 attendees, the largest crowd ever for a BETX Celebrity Basketball game. FanFest welcomed more than 30,000 attendees over two days, blowing past its previous peak of 10,000. The Hollywood Bowl show featuring The Roots and Nas sold out again with more than 17,000 attendees.
