Lamar Jackson Returns to Ravens Practice as Limited Participant

With the Ravens currently at 1-5, the two-time MVP’s return could ignite a late-season run.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to the practice field on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury.

According to those at the Ravens facility, Jackson “jogged out to the practice field midway through the session and warmed up with teammates during the portion open to the media.” Jackson’s participation in practice was limited.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh expressed his excitement for having Jackson back in the fold.

"It was good, it was good," Harbaugh said. "I was happy with all the guys, seeing everybody out there. We got a lot of guys out there. So that was great."

Jackson suffered a hamstring injury during the Baltimore Ravens' Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on September 28, 2025. The team remains cautious due to the nature of hamstring issues, and while his return to practice provides a significant morale boost for the 1-5 Ravens, his official playing status for their upcoming Week 8 game is still uncertain as the team assesses his readiness for full-speed game action.

Since his injury, Jackson had missed the Ravens' last two losses before their Week 7 bye. The Ravens hope that Jackson can return to help the 1-5 squad Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

When asked what Jackson's chances are to play Sunday, Harbaugh responded, "It's hard to put a number on it. I think it's just part of the process right now. I don't have any shareable injury intelligence for you guys at this point.

If Jackson can’t go on Sunday, Harbaugh did not say who would start at quarterback -- Cooper Rush or Tyler Huntley in his place.
