Chiefs Put On A Dominant Performance
While the Kansas City Chiefs may have been sleepwalking to begin the season they are fully awake now. On Sunday, the Chiefs delivered a resounding 31-0 shutout victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Patrick Mahomes was in complete control from beginning to the end. He even faked out the Raiders and everybody watching on a fourth down play. Mahomes completed 26 of 35 passes for 286 yards and threw three touchdowns with no interceptions. He was able to rest for the entire fourth quarter due to the lopsided score.
Jalen Hurts and Eagles Are Back On Track
After back-to-back losses, Jalen Hurts put on a show to lead the Philadelphia Eagles over the Minnesota Vikings 28-22. Hurts threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in a hard-fought win against the Vikings, getting the Eagles' offense back on track. Two of his touchdown passes went to A.J. Brown who posted his best game of the year with four receptions and 120 yards.
“I know there’s a clip to confirm where I said, 'we’re not losers anymore' coming off the field,” Hurts said. ‘That’s all I could think about throughout these last two weeks. Having opportunities to finish the game, to finish the fourth quarter, I really think this is the first time we finished the fourth quarter. I think definitely there was some fire there. But within that fire, you have to be the calm.”
The Colts Keep Rolling
The Indianapolis Colts are off to an incredible start with a 6-1 record after 38-24 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Quarterback Daniel Jones played another efficient game, throwing for 288 yards and two touchdowns as the Colts jumped out to a 23-3 lead by halftime. For the Chargers, quarterback Justin Herbert threw for a career-high 420 yards and three touchdowns to lead a second half comeback. Jonathan Taylor kept his name in the MVP race by scoring three touchdowns.
The Giants Vs Broncos May Have Played The Wildest Game Ever
The New Giants and the Denver Broncos were involved in what could be regarded as one of the craziest games in NFL history. After being shut out for the first three quarters and trailing the Giants by a score of 19-0, the Broncos staged an unbelievable rally. QB Bo Nix led the Broncos to score 33 points in the fourth quarter, which was the second-most points in a single quarter in NFL history. Nix rushed for two touchdowns and threw for two touchdowns. Although the Giants grabbed the lead with 37 seconds left, the missed extra points would cost them the game. In the final drive, Wil Lutz hit a 39-yard, game-winning field goal as time expired, stunning the Giants.
Tua Tagovailoa Benched in Dolphis Loss to Browns
During the Miami Dolphins' 31-6 blowout loss to the Cleveland Browns, Tua Tagovailoa threw three interceptions. In the fourth quarter, Tagovailoa was benched in favor of rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers. Prior to his being benching. Following the game, Tagovailoa expressed his dismay at his performance.
“Definitely not happy, not proud of where I'm at with my play, with how I've gone about things this year," Tagovailoa said, after averaging just 4.3 yards per attempt and finishing the game with a career-low 24.1 passer rating.
On Tuesday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Tagovailoa will be the starting QB Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks.
