The Las Vegas Aces' 16-Game Winning Streak

After a shaky start to the season, the Las Vegas Aces have rebounded and are currently on a 16-game win streak, which is the longest to end the regular season in league history. On Thursday, Las Vegas defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 103-75 to finish the regular season 30-14 record and the No. 2 seed in the postseason. They also set a WNBA regular-season record with 22 3-pointers. A’ja Wilson, who could win her fourth MVP award, posted 23 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 blocks. For the season, she averaged a league-best 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds, and is the first player in the history of the “W” to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in multiple seasons.

Canelo Vs Crawford Is Finally Here

The boxing world is filled with excitement with the highly anticipated super-middleweight fight between Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford. Scheduled for September 13, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the bout features two of the sport's pound-for-pound greats against each other. Canelo, 63-2-2, is the undisputed super-middleweight champion and has won titles in four different weight classes. Crawford, 41-0, has been an undisputed champion in both the light welterweight and welterweight divisions. For the fight, Crawford moved up two weight classes to challenge Canelo for all the belts. This one could be an all-time classic.

Continued Fall Out From the Kawhi Leonard/LA Clippers Allegations

More details have been revealed in the alleged Kawhi Leonard/LA Clippers scandal, which centers on allegations of salary cap circumvention. According to recent reports, the Clippers allegedly used a fraudulent third-party endorsement deal to pay Kawhi Leonard, with a $50 million investment by Clippers owner Steve Ballmer. On the latest installment of Pablo Torre Finds Out, documents suggest that Leonard was reportedly paid $1.75M by Aspiration, a bankrupt company, days after the team’s minority owner, Dennis J. Wong, invested $1.99M. The Clippers are currently being investigated by the NBA.

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky’s Ongoing Drama

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky have been embroiled in a drama-filled couple of weeks. In a Chicago Tribune interview, Reese expressed frustration with the team's performance and made specific comments about teammate Courtney Vandersloot, who’s recovering from a season-ending injury. For her remarks, which were deemed "detrimental to the team," she was suspended for the first half of the game against the Las Vegas Aces. This followed a league-mandated one-game suspension for Reese after she accumulated too many technical fouls. With all that's going on with Reese and the team, an anonymous WNBA executive suggested that the two-time All-Star ask for a trade. “She needs to get the hell out of there,” the WNBA executive said of Reese. “Chicago is probably the worst-run organization in the league. You’re gonna suspend your best player just because she’s putting pressure on you to get better? That was embarrassing to see."

Lamar Jackson Apologized For Buffalo Bills Fan Incident

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has offered an apology for having an altercation with a Buffalo Bills fan during a game. While Ravens were celebrating a touchdown, the fan hit Jackson and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on the head. In retaliation, Jackson pushed the fan back into the stands with a two-handed shove. After the incident, Jackson expressed that he let his emotions get the better of him and apologized for his role in the incident.

"Just chill next time," Jackson said after Wednesday's practice, via ESPN. "You can talk trash and stuff, but keep your hands to yourself." The NFL has announced that Jackson will not face any discipline for his actions.
