LeBron James Reacts To Seeing His Son’s Look-Alike Sitting Courtside In Houston
LeBron James helped lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a series-clinching 98-78 victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday night, but a lighthearted moment with an NFL star stole the spotlight after the game.
During the third quarter, James fell to the hardwood and was quickly flanked by teammates Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves. Also joining the group to help the veteran forward to his feet was Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr., who was seated courtside for the Game 6 matchup.
The interaction fueled a long-running social media joke regarding the physical resemblance between Anderson and James’ eldest son, Bronny James. Following the win, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer leaned into the comparisons during his postgame press conference.
"That's my fourth child," James joked while smiling at reporters. "Him and Bronny are twins and don't nobody know it. Me and Savannah [James] have been trying to keep it under wraps for a long time."
James quickly clarified he meant no offense to the NFL player's family.
"No disrespect to his parents, his real parents. Let me not get nothing started," he added.
The Texans joined the conversation by sharing a video of the remarks alongside the popular meme of two identical Spider-Men pointing at one another. Anderson also acknowledged the moment on his Instagram story, sharing the clip of him assisting the Lakers star with the caption "a freaking legend." James returned the praise, describing Anderson as "an unbelievable football player."
The 2023 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year was also in attendance to see Bronny James log three minutes of action as the Lakers closed out the Rockets to advance past the first round.
James finished the night with 28 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. According to ESPN Research, he led Los Angeles throughout the series with a total of 139 points and 50 assists.
