Jeff Teague is now claiming he was being humorous when he said LeBron James used steroids.

During an episode of his “Club 520” podcast, Teague alleged that James was taking steroids during his tenure with the Miami Heat.

“Miami ‘Bron, he was on steroids, bro,” the NBA champion said. “He had to sit out, he was on steroids. For real. Allegedly. But he had to sit out.”

“They started testing for HGH and … he had to sit out. He said his back was hurting, and he sat out for like three weeks. And he came back skinny. I was in the league, I remember,” Teague continued. “He came back and he was crazy, though.”

Immediately, Teague’s comments caused a firestorm due to the nature of the explosive allegations.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Teague said that he was joking around about James.

“Y’all weird I was joking about Bron he was just that dominant (sic) chill,” Teague wrote on his Instagram story.

During Thursday’s episode of “Club 520” Teague said one of James' fans confronted him at a gas station over the steroid allegations.

“He looked back like, ‘You a h*e, you a snitch,'” Teague recalled. “‘Bron didn’t do that!’ I’m like … ‘stop playing, bro.'”
