Ciara Explains How She Juggles Mogul Life, Motherhood During Russell Wilson’s NFL Season

On Angel Reese's podcast, Ciara confesses that managing her career, four children, and the demands of being an NFL wife during football season is 'chaotic,' but she wouldn't change it.

Ciara is the definition of a multi-hyphenate queen, seamlessly maneuvering between the music charts, entrepreneurial ventures, and the demanding life of an NFL wife and mother of four. But on a recent episode of Angel Reese's “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, the star got real about the chaos behind the glamour, revealing that the idea of perfect "balance" is a myth she refuses to chase.

Ciara told Reese that with so much on her plate—a thriving career, four children, and the support needed for husband Russell Wilson’s football season—trying to achieve perfect equilibrium is “not the most realistic thing.” Instead, she focuses on allowing her life to be a cycle of give-and-take, noting that her drive for success "increased" after becoming a mom.

"I don't want to rob myself of like living my life," Ciara said, emphasizing that success should not come at the cost of personal fulfillment. She believes that by trusting her "vision" and living life "unapologetically," she can show her children and fans that "You can do it all."

The star also offered an empowering message on body image and the pressure to "snap back" after pregnancy. After giving birth to her youngest, Amora, she admitted that she has not yet returned to her pre-pregnancy weight, but she has chosen to embrace her new physique.

"She gave me a little curves," Ciara stated. "I’mma hold on to my curve just a little bit, okay?"

She even shared a sweet moment about how her husband, Russell Wilson, feels about her body post-baby. Far from being pressured to immediately revert to her former shape, Ciara said the New York Giants quarterback loves her new look.

"Russ is actually like, ‘Baby, don’t get too crazy. Like, keep it right there,’" she revealed, adding, "He likes my little extra, you know, love curves, love handles."

Ciara emphasized that her journey back to fitness is on her own terms, free from outside judgment. The most crucial takeaway, she stressed, is that women must give themselves "grace" and set their own internal standards. “The standard is what I’ve set, not what the world has set,” Ciara asserted, advising young women like Reese not to live their lives based on the opinions of the outside world, whose voices are often just "waves in the sea."

Ultimately, the conversation was a masterclass in trusting your own lane. Ciara proved that being a mogul means not just managing a busy schedule, but managing your mind, your body, and your marriage with intentionality and self-acceptance.
