Odell Beckham to Serve Six-Game Suspension for Failed Drug Test

Although he’s still seeking to return to the league, the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver must serve out his suspension before he signs with another team.

Odell Beckham Jr. has been suspended for six games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

During an appearance on  "The Pivot Podcast" on Tuesday, Beckham said he failed a PED test last season while he was a member of the Miami Dolphins.

In the conversation, Beckham claimed that he was dealing with an issue with his testosterone levels and did not purposely take performance-enhancing drugs.

"It bothers me because, knowing deep down inside that I never failed, I mean, I never cheated," Beckham told hosts Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder.

“I've never done something. I'm like, bro, I came back from ACL, shattered ankle, ACL again," he continued.

Beckham also noted that he regrets not taking the suspension last season.

"In hindsight, I should have just taken (the suspension in 2024)," he said. "Had the six games, got punished then, let it blow over."

The entire ordeal has forced Beckham to look introspectively at himself and the situation as a learning experience.

As a first-round pick in the 2014 draft, Beckam posted 1,000-yard seasons in four of his first five years in the league as a member of the New York Giants.

Just before the 2019 season commenced, he was traded to the Cleveland Browns before being dealt to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season. Although he won a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2021, he tore his ACL in the victory.

In total, Beckham has 575 catches for 7,987 yards over his 10-year career.
