Dennis Rodman Says Michael Jordan Is the GOAT, But Kobe Bryant Deserves Consideration

The Basketball Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on the two NBA legends on N3on’s stream.

It’s safe to say that Dennis Rodman knows a lot about the game of basketball. The Hall of Famer and five-time NBA champion recently shared that while he considers Michael Jordan the greatest basketball player of all time but Kobe Bryant is often overlooked in the conversation.

Making an appearance on N3on’s stream, Rodman made a case for Bryant as one of the GOATs of the NBA as he spoke about two of his former teammates.

"We know who that is, Jordan all day long," said Rodman. "Get mad at me all you want. Guess what?

“People forgot about that one guy. That one guy, that's called Kobe Bryant. People forget about him,” Rodman continued. They talk about everybody else. They don't talk about Kobe for some reason."

This is not the first time that Rodman has shared his thoughts on the differences between Jordan and Bryant. During an interview with DJ Vlad, Rodman claimed that Jordan was

“I think Michael was more driven to win,” Rodman said about Michael Jordan. “He hates the fact that we’re gonna win, we’re gonna win, and he took control of that, you know. I give him that credit right there. I give him that it’s like I would say, Scottie had that will too, but Kobe became like that. Kobe started to emulate his game, similar to Michael's.

“I think Kobe was more like a gymnast, you know, when he played, and Mike was more like […] you know, a ballet dancer because you know what most of the time he plays on his toes,” he continued. “When he does everything, it’s always like boom boom of a sudden one-two punch,” Rodman added.

Without question, Bryant’s resume ranks him among the greatest NBA players of all time. During his remarkable 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant was a five-time champion, an MVP winner, won two NBA Finals MVP awards, was named to 18 NBA All-Star teams, and was a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner with Team USA.

Bryant was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021.
