The Baton Rouge rapper made it clear he is not a fan of the growing trend of male athletes painting their fingernails, calling on league officials to implement a strict ban against it.

While the rapper did not name any specific player in his post, the timing makes it hard to ignore Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jared McCain. The 22-year-old rising star has made national headlines as much for his painted nails as his game on the court, even landing a high-profile endorsement deal with the beauty brand Sally Hansen.

Back in 2023, McCain opened up to Complex about how the habit actually started during the 2020 quarantine. He mentioned that he never saw a problem with it, noting that he simply likes getting manicures and pedicures because taking care of his body is important to him. When it comes to dealing with the internet trolls, McCain handles it with a shrug. He pointed out that the negative comments usually come from grown men, which he finds funny, adding that the online noise does not bother him or affect his routine at all.

This isn't the first time Hatch has voiced strong opinions on how men choose to express themselves or challenge traditional gender boundaries. The rapper has a long track record of making controversial comments about the LGBTQ+ community. Just last year, he compared men wearing nail polish to men wearing women's undergarments.
