Grant Williams Pops the Question To Softball Star Kiki Milloy

Two of the most decorated athletes in recent University of Tennessee history confirmed their engagement this week.

Grant Williams and Kiki Milloy, two of the most celebrated athletes in the history of Tennessee athletics, announced their engagement Tuesday afternoon via a joint social media post. The proposal took place at The Sunset Estate in Tacoma, Washington, overlooking a scenic waterfront.

"Forever isn’t long enough," Williams wrote in the Instagram caption, sharing a series of photographs from the event.

The news marks a major personal milestone for the couple, who both achieved elite status during their time in Knoxville.  Williams, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, was a cornerstone of the Volunteers basketball program from 2016 to 2019. He earned back-to-back SEC Player of the Year honors and was a consensus First Team All-American before being selected 22nd overall in the 2019 NBA Draft. After beginning his professional career with the Boston Celtics and helping the team reach the 2022 NBA Finals, the forward moved to the Dallas Mavericks before returning to his hometown to play for the Charlotte Hornets.

Milloy mirrored that success on the diamond, finishing a historic five-year career with Lady Vols softball in 2024. A native of Woodinville, Washington, she led the nation in home runs in 2023, the same year she guided Tennessee back to the Women’s College World Series for the first time in nearly a decade. Beyond her athletic accolades, she was a recipient of the Torchbearer Award, the highest undergraduate honor at the University of Tennessee.

The engagement comes as both continue their professional journeys. Williams returned to the Hornets' lineup this past January following a recovery from a knee injury, while Milloy has established herself as a rising star in professional softball. Since being drafted, she has earned league honors and helped her squad secure a championship title in the summer of 2025.
