NFL Launches Investigation into Tyreek Hill Domestic Violence Allegations
The NFL is currently reviewing recent domestic violence allegations against Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
TMZ reports that Keeta Vaccaro, the estranged wife of Hill, has alleged eight separate incidents of domestic violence in a court filing related to their ongoing divorce case.
On Monday (September 8), Hill's lawyer released a statement arguing that the allegations are part of a "shakedown," adding that they are "an attempt to generate bad media coverage" for the five-time Pro-Bowler.
Hill’s off-field incidents have garnered just as much attention as his on-field play since arriving in Miami in 2022. In 2024, Hill was arrested by law enforcement officers after being stopped for speeding and reckless driving. The incident with Miami-Dade police happened just hours before the Dolphins' 2024 season opener, just outside Hard Rock Stadium.
More than a decade later, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in an incident involving his then-pregnant girlfriend while a student at Oklahoma State University. The incident led to his dismissal from the school, and he transferred to West Alabama.
So far, Hill has not been criminally charged and has not been disciplined by the NFL or the Dolphins organizations.
The Dolphins are slated to face off against the New England Patriots on Sunday (September 14).
