LeBron James and Daughter Zhuri Have a Viral Pregame Moment

Being a girl dad looks great on the Lakers superstar.

It’s hard to beat the joy of being a girl dad, except, maybe, if basketball made you one of the richest, most famous girldads on Earth and your daughter can get buckets with you in warm-ups.

We all caught a glimpse of what that’s like over the weekend when LeBron James’ daughter, Zhuri, joined him on the court as he warmed up before the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Golden State Warriors on Feb. 28. It was a road game, meaning not only did Zhuri, 11, get to go work with dad, she made the trip from SoCal to the Bay Area. How’s that for Daddy-Daughter Day?

James told ESPN after the game that it was Zhuri’s first away game with him, and called her his “good luck charm.” The Lakers won, 129-101.

In case there was any question, Zhuri’s superstar dad hasn’t been content to see her be a spectator; it looks like she’s got skills. Cameras caught her initially dribbling in her seat before joining LeBron on the court to take a few shots, and she’s pretty accurate.

Of course, Lebron already has one child, Bronny, who made it to the NBA, where he plays alongside his father on the Lakers roster. While it’s a stretch to think that Zhuri, who’s not in high school yet, could make the WNBA before LeBron, who is 41 and in his 22nd NBA season, retires. But it would surprise no one if she makes it to the league and has her dad sitting courtside during shootaround sometime in the future.
