Karl-Anthony Towns is being recognized in a distinctly New York way.

The New York Knicks center is the inspiration behind "KAT's Bodega," a temporary installation inside New Era's flagship store in Manhattan. The activation opened ahead of the Knicks' Game 3 matchup on Monday and will remain in place through the rest of the NBA Finals.

The space draws from a familiar part of city life: the neighborhood bodega. From neon signs and colorful posters to hanging beaded curtains, the installation recreates details that many New Yorkers encounter every day at their local corner store.

The tribute comes after Towns has become a central piece of the team's lineup after arriving in New York before the start of the 2024-25 campaign. Throughout the season, Towns helped the Knicks remain among the Eastern Conference's top teams while continuing to build his connection with the city's fan base.

While the installation celebrates Towns, it also gives fans a place to pick up Knicks merchandise during one of the busiest stretches of the basketball calendar. The space features a variety of New Era Knicks gear, including caps and apparel, available for purchase in-store.

Fans looking to add a personal touch to their gear will also have an opportunity to do so. Customers who purchase a New Era Knicks cap will receive one complimentary patch customization while supplies last.

The experience goes beyond merchandise. Visitors can also grab complimentary Good Eat'n snacks while supplies last, adding another element inspired by the city's neighborhood convenience stores.
