Can OKC Defend Their Crown and Make It to the NBA Finals?

The Oklahoma City Thunder enter their title defense season looking to be a dynastic team. Led by reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, along with Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, are positioned to win back-to-back titles, which has been rare in the NBA's modern era of parity.

"The Thunder aren't a surprise anymore, they're the reigning champs,” Robinson said. “ Now, I want to see if SGA, J-Dub, and Chet can handle the pressure of being the hunted team and repeat their trip to the Finals."

Will Fred VanVleet’s Absence Deter Houston’s Finals Chances This Season?

After acquiring Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade, the Houston Rockets faced an immediate obstacle when starting point guard Fred VanVleet tore his ACL and was lost for the season. Robinson believes that this is the perfect opportunity for young Rockets to improve themselves.

"Losing VanVleet to injury is a massive blow, especially with KD in the mix to win now. My eyes are glued to the Rockets to see which young guard, like Amen Thompson or Reed Sheppard, steps up to run the offense and keep their Finals hopes alive,” Robinson said.

Will LeBron James, Luka Doncic, And The Los Angeles Lakers Last The Whole Season?

With LeBron James out with sciatica the for several weeks, the Luka Doncic era is in full swing. Robinson wonders if the Los Angeles Lakers can last into the playoffs.

"At this point, it's less about the Lakers' talent and more about their collective odometer,” Robinson shared. “Can the 'Big Two' stay healthy and load-managed enough to be a true threat in May and June, or is Father Time finally going to win?"

Will the Knicks or the Cavs Make it to the Finals?

"The Celtics and Bucks have slipped, and the Eastern Conference feels wide open. I genuinely believe the ceiling for the Knicks and the Cavs this year is an NBA Finals appearance,” Robinson argued. “It's time for one of them to prove they're the new elite."

The Orlando Magic and the 76ers Are Wild Cards In the Eastern Conference

"Forget the hype, the Magic are here to stay, but the Sixers are the ultimate wild card. A healthy Embiid and a full season of Tyrese Maxey and Paul George means Philly still has championship-level potential, which is the drama I live for."

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Future in Milwaukee

One of the ongoing discussions of the season will be the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee. With the signing of his two brothers, Thanis and Alex, the Bucks are hoping that the “Greek Freak.”

"With all the trade rumors over the summer, every Bucks loss is going to feel like a countdown clock,” Robinson said. “I'm watching every single game because if the team struggles, this could finally be the season that Giannis' commitment to Milwaukee cracks."

The Phoenix Suns have the potential to actually be a factor this season

"After all the off-season moves to bring in new depth and talent around Devin Booker, the Suns have shed the Big 3 expectations,” Robinson said. “I'm ready to see if the new, deeper roster led by Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks can actually become a surprise contender in the brutal West."
