Angel Reese Had The Perfect Response To Wendell Carter Jr.’s Double-Double Performance
Angel Reese knows a thing or two about dominating the glass, and she made sure to give Wendell Carter Jr. his flowers after his latest postseason performance. Following the Orlando Magic’s 113-105 win over the Detroit Pistons in Game 3, Reese took to social media to celebrate Carter’s massive night on the boards.
Carter, the Magic’s 27-year-old center, put up 14 points and 17 rebounds in 37 minutes of play. The 17 boards represented his best rebounding effort since the 2021-22 season and secured his first double-double of April. Reese, who is heading into her third WNBA season and recently joined the Atlanta Dream, noticed the similarity to her own stat lines.
"17 REBOUNDS?! who are you feeling likeeeeee," Reese posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The public praise follows another viral moment from earlier in the series. Reese previously shared a clip of Carter dunking on Pistons big man Jalen Duren with the caption, "GAME 1. PLAY THE SONGGGGG." The post sparked conversation among fans, as Reese and Duren were linked in social media rumors during the 2024 off-season.
Carter has been a vital part of the Magic's rotation during the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Through three games, he is averaging 11.3 points and 9.7 rebounds while shooting efficiently from the field. In the Game 3 victory, he shot 5-of-9 and added three assists and a block to his totals.
With the victory, the Magic now holds a 2-1 lead in the series. The team will look to move one step closer to the next round when they face the Pistons again for Game 4.
The Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons are scheduled to tip off on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 8 p.m. Carter’s presence in the paint will remain a key factor for Orlando as they attempt to maintain their advantage in the best-of-seven series.
