Gilbert Arenas Says He Didn't Snitch on Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups
Gilbert Arenas is denying that he had anything to do with the recent high-profile arrests of Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups.,
During his live stream, Billups took the time to clarify that his situation had nothing to do with his case.
“This is a whole different level,” Arenas said. “My case is different.”
Areneas then explained the difference between the indictment that was levied at Rozier and Billups versus the case he’s facing.
“Mine didn’t have no operation name,” Arenas said. “There’s no operation. Rozier was arrested under the name Operation Nothing But Net, while Billups was arrested under the name Operation Royal Flush.”
In July, Arenas, along with Yevgeni Gershman, Evgenni Tourevski, Allan Austria, Yarin Cohen, Ievgen Krachun and another man who’s suspected Israeli crime figure, were all arrested. Federal prosecutors alleged that Arenas rented out his Encino, CA, mansion “to host high-end, illegal poker games believed to be conducted between Sept. 12, 2021, and July 20, 2022.”
Although a cash poker game isn’t illegal, the allegations against Arenas and his alleged associates is“collect a ‘rake’ or a fee the house would charge from each pot either as a percentage or a fixed amount per hand.”
After posting bail, Arenas posted a video implying that he was planning on cutting a deal with the hashtag #SnitchingGilComingSOON.
Following the arrest of Billups and Rozier, Arenas was seen on an episode of his show with a bag labeled “Informant Lunch.”
“This is my lunch, man, I didn’t get to eat it over there, I was talking too much,” Arenas said at the start of the show. “The Blazers weren't gonna win anyway, the last thing they needed was their coach.”
