Jordan Brand Opens ‘World of Flight’ in Philadelphia

Located in Center City, the store pays tribute to Philadelphia's basketball roots and Michael Jordan's iconic legacy.

The Jordan Brand has officially opened its first store in the U.S.

Located in the Ritterhouse Square, the historic section of Center City in Philadelphia, the “World of Flight” is more than just a store; it represents the pinnacle of basketball culture.

Designed as an immersive destination combining premium product, exclusive drops, and a vibrant tribute to the city's deep hoops heritage.

The new location is two stories and nearly 7,000 square feet and is in the city where Michael Jordan played his last game, the “World of Flight” is sports lovers' dream.

The brand celebrated the launch of the store with a block party and appearances by DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Jordan Brand athletes Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles and Jared McCain of the Philadelphia 76ers.

“I think it is amazing that Jordan Brand chose Philadelphia for its first World of Flight store in the U.S. — it is a city that has shown me so much love and deserves the best,” Hurts said. “Jordan Brand has done so much work supporting youth and organizations in the Philadelphia community over the last 10 years, and now World of Flight is going to be a special experience for everybody that comes through.”

Sarah Mensah, President, Jordan Brand, expects the Jordan Brand to go to another level with the opening of its first store in Philadelphia.

“As Jordan Brand enters its next era of greatness, we do so with an eye for furthering our connection to our community. World of Flight is a direct portal to our brand and represents the pinnacle of basketball culture,” says Sarah Mensah, President, Jordan Brand. “Opening our first World of Flight door in the United States in Philadelphia, where Michael Jordan played his last game and Jalen Hurts is redefining greatness on the football field, is emblematic of the stories, legacy, and achievements we continue to create and uplift."

The Philadelphia store opening follows the 2024 opening of Nike & Jordan World of Flight Mexico City. Other locations include Beijing (2024), Seoul (2023), Tokyo (2023), and Milan (2022).
