Angel Reese Is Booked and Busy: Chicago Sky Star Joins Star-Studded ‘GOAT’ Cast

Angel Reese isn't just a force on the court—she’s a movie star now. The WNBA All-Star joins Gabrielle Union and Steph Curry in the new animated feature ‘GOAT.’ Get the details on her latest Hollywood move.

WNBA standout Angel Reese is continuing her transition into Hollywood, officially joining the cast of the upcoming animated film, GOAT.

The Chicago Sky forward announced Wednesday that she will voice the character Propp, a polar bear athlete, in the sports-themed action-comedy. The project is co-produced by Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry through his Unanimous Media banner and is produced by Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Set in an all-animal universe, GOAT follows Will (voiced by Caleb McLaughlin), a small goat with ambitions of playing "roarball"—a high-intensity, full-contact version of basketball dominated by larger, fiercer animals.

In addition to Reese and McLaughlin, the film features an ensemble of high-profile voices, including:

  • Stephen Curry as Lenny Williamson, a giraffe.
  • Gabrielle Union as Jett Fillmore, a black panther.
  • Dwyane Wade as Rosette, a bull.
  • David Harbour as Archie Everhardt, a rhino.

The film, directed by Tyree Dillihay, is scheduled for theatrical release on Feb. 13, 2026, coinciding with NBA All-Star Weekend.

Reese’s inclusion in the film marks another milestone in her rise as a crossover entertainment figure. While she rose to national prominence as a champion at LSU and a record-setting rookie in the WNBA, her 2025-2026 off-season has been defined by ventures outside of basketball.

This past fall, the 23-year-old made her feature film debut in the political thriller A House of Dynamite, appearing in a cameo alongside Idris Elba. Reese also walked the runway for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2025, further solidifying her status as a fixture in the fashion and film industries.

Reese has previously expressed an interest in pursuing acting long-term, telling reporters at recent events that she plans to work with an acting coach to refine her skills between WNBA seasons.
