Deontay Wilder Accused Of Abusing His Ex’s Son In New Lawsuit
The “Bronze Bomber” just got hit with a haymaker of a lawsuit.
Kerron Swift, son of former boxing heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder’s ex-fiancée Shuntel ‘Telli’ Swift, is suing Wilder, alleging that the knockout artist brutalized him during Wilder’s relationship with his mom. TMZ Sports first reported the claims.
Kerron Swift is between 19 and 20 years old based on references made to him during his mom’s run on the reality show WAGS Atlanta. His lawsuit claims that when he was as young as 13, Wilder abused him, slapping him in a car and whipping him with a belt, among other incidents that the suit alleges took place between 2016 and 2024, TMZ reported.
Wilder denied the accusations through an attorney.
Wilder and Telli Swift have parted ways, and in 2024, she detailed abuses she allegedly suffered at his hands when asking a Los Angeles County judge for a restraining order, which was granted. Telli Swift alleged that Wilder choked and beat her in front of her son and daughter, that he possessed multiple guns, and that his mental health had declined as he coped with losses in the ring, USA Today reported.
Wilder was the WBC World Heavyweight Champion and carried an undefeated record until the first fight of his legendary trilogy with Tyson Fury ended in a draw in 2018. He suffered two consecutive knockout losses in title fights to Fury after that, and has two wins and two losses in his fights since.
He’s slated to face Derek Chisora on Saturday, April 4, in London.
