Pretty Ricky Becomes a Trio After Slick ‘Em Refuses Rehab

The ‘Grind With Me’ group is planning a comeback.

Pretty-Ricky is gearing up for a major return, but it won’t be with the full lineup as fans remember.

Spectacular Smith recently confirmed that the R&B group is moving forward as a trio after group member Slick ‘Em refused to attend rehab for substance abuse.

The star made the shocking reveal during a recent chat with TMZ, after he was asked whether Pretty Ricky would reunite following B2K’s surprise appearance on the final night of the 2025 Millennium Tour.

“Oh, 100 percent! We’re working out deals right now,” he shared. “Matter of fact, we got multiple offers for a tour and they want us to headline a tour. They’re talking about co-headlining. There’s lots of offers on the table.”

Still, longtime fans may notice one member missing—rapper Slick ‘Em, born Corey Mathis.

According to Pleasure P, his bandmate is reportedly struggling with heroin addiction. “They got one of my brothers on heroin,” the singer said in a December 2024 video. “And I don’t want to talk his business. But I miss him, and I wish I could talk to Slick’em.”

Spectacular shared that he personally tried to get Slick ‘Em help. “I found the top rehab in Florida to put him in,” he said.

“Bruh, if you don’t go right now, you ain’t going and I don’t believe you.” When Mathis refused to check in, Spectacular stepped back. “I tried […] I can’t want this [more] than you want this for yourself. When you want this, I’m ready for you.”

The door, however, isn’t completely closed. “We want him to be back and taking it seriously because if we enable him, he’s never gonna give it up […] I pray God helps him get through it,” Spectacular added.

The group is preparing for a tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut and reportedly has a completed album on deck. However,  no official release details have been announced.
