J.R. Smith Exposes Kyrie Irving For Ghosting 2016 Cavs Reunion

An online fan accused the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers of leaving out their former star point guard, prompting a reality check on social media.

The 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers championship squad linked up in Europe this week to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their historic ring, but everyone online noticed one major piece of the puzzle was missing.

Kyrie Irving, who hit the biggest shot in franchise history to lock up that title, was nowhere to be seen in any of the vacation photos. Naturally, fans started blowing up social media, asking why the star guard was left out of the fun while guys like LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, and Richard Jefferson were living it up across the Atlantic.

Former Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith saw the chatter and decided to set the record straight. Responding to a fan who assumed the team excluded Irving, Smith made it clear that the ball was entirely in Irving's court.

"Missing none," Smith wrote on social media. "He was invited and ghosted us all. So stop with that bs."

Even though Smith did not say Irving's name directly, it was obvious to everyone who he was talking about. The response quickly turned what looked like a peaceful celebration into the latest chapter of NBA locker room drama.

It is no secret that Irving has had a complicated relationship with Cleveland since he requested a trade back in 2017. Things seemed to cool down over the last few years, with Irving showing love to the city and his former teammates in interviews, but Smith's comments suggest things might still be a little rocky behind the scenes.

Even without their star point guard in attendance, the rest of the crew looked like they had a blast honoring the team that brought Cleveland its first NBA championship.
