Fresh off her headlining appearance at the UK's Glastonbury Festival, Beyoncé delivered another spectacular performance, this time on Liberty Island for Macy's Fourth of July celebration in New York.
Dressed in a formal black gown with a backdrop of fireworks and the Statue of Liberty, Bey performed the song "Best Thing I Never Had" off her recently released album 4 and her remixed version of the patriotic "God Bless the USA," reports the Daily Mail.
The celebration, hosted by pop singer Nick Lachey, was extra special this year as it marks the 125th year that Lady Liberty has stood in Hudson Harbor and 400 years since Henry Hudson landed in the river that was later named after him.
Beyoncé's new album 4, which has already at #1 on the UK charts, is expected to take the number one spot in the U.S. with a projected 300,000 in first–week sales.
