Despite this red carpet-ready diva’s consistently complicated and depth-defying fashion looks, being cozy is a must, and that’s even on those red carpets she stunts on! Taylor recently told People that she carries a comfy, cozy red carpet secret along with her: slippers in the Sprinter van parked very close by.

The actress and musician multi-hyphenate said the plush Jack Skellington slippers she’d worn earlier in awards season hoopla were “never too far” and that keeping a comfy backup on-hand helps her navigate long nights without sacrificing style.

Taylor — a Golden Globe–nominated performer for “One Battle After Another” and a regular on awards circuits — described balancing comfort and fashion on the red carpet, noting she chose not to swap into the slippers until she walked the carpet because “I’ll be pushing it by bringing the slippers” into the event. Taylor also has a pair of Garfield slippers that she’s been seen in slaying behind the scenes. 

Taylor was recently spotted at the Critics Choice Awards, sporting a pair of edgy Saint Laurent boots that may not have required her backup slippers. They were probably in the Sprinter around the corner though. Taylor also appeared solo at the awards. Recently the gorgeous A-lister would do red carpet appearances with her boo Aaron Pierre, but reportedly the two have split.
