Watch: Tiffany Haddish Totally Fangirls Over Oprah On ‘Ellen’

The talk show host surprised the actress.

There are only a handful of celebrities who seem to evoke a visceral reaction from just about everyone who meets them, and Oprah Winfrey is certainly one of them.

This was proven during a recent episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show where rising star Tiffany Haddish met the queen of all media for the first time after explaining how much she admires her. What's even more charming than the actual encounter, however, is the way in which the Girls Trip star learned she was about to meet the Hollywood royal.

Following Oprah's individual segment where she spoke on her upcoming new Ava DuVernay-directed film, A Wrinkle In Time, Haddish chatted with Ellen and was under the impression that her idol had left the studio.

After sharing a hilarious story of once working distantly with the former talk show host — and even having a brief and reassuring exchange with her — on the set of Their Eyes Were Watching God, which Oprah produced, Haddish experienced the unexpected: Oprah walked out to surprise her.

As the crowd roared with applause and Ellen rose from her chair, the comedian raced over to Oprah, immediately embracing her all while sobbing uncontrollably.

It was equal parts hilarious and heartwarming.

Take a look, below:

The moment didn't end there for Haddish. Soon after, she hilariously taught both Oprah and Ellen how to whip up her famous "joyful greens," a dish she claims can only be successfully prepared with a smile.

After the segment taping concluded, she got a photo with Oprah and posted it three times to her Instagram page out of sheer excitement.
