Big Mood!: Barbie Partners With Harlem's Fashion Row To Highlight Black Designers During Black History Month

Hanifa, Rich Fresh, and Kimberly Goldson have created looks for the iconic dolls.

For Black History Month, Barbie Style tapped Harlem's Fashion Row to collaborate on an editorial in which three dolls wear looks from Hanifa, Kimberly Goldson, and Rich Fresh.

The editorial features outfits that are exact replicas of original looks from the designers in pint-sized form and will be showcased on a range of diverse Barbie dolls.

This collaboration furthers Barbie’s efforts of encouraging representation as it works to inspire the next generation. The results will be unveiled on Barbie’s global platform @BarbieStyle today, Thursday, February, 24th. The looks are styled on real Barbies but aren’t for sale. They’re intended to raise awareness and support of HFR.

"Since its inception, Barbie has been a right of passage, an impression of self-awareness for young girls everywhere. Now, more than ever, Barbie celebrates our differences, and I'm excited that Harlem's Fashion Row gets to play a part in widely diversifying their style, too," Brandice Daniel, CEO, and founder of Harlem's Fashion Row and ICON360, said, in a statement. You can bid on the dolls here.
