School’s in Session: Puff Daddy Donates $1 Million to His Alma Mater
Fresh off of opening a charter school, Diddy continues to place a focus on the importance of education.
Amid his Bad Boy Reunion tour, the music mogul has made a generous donation to Howard University, gifting the college with no less than one million dollars.
During the tour's stop in Washington, D.C., Diddy made the announcement saying that the money will go towards the creation of a new scholarship fund, aptly named after his government name Sean Combs.
According to the man himself, the money will award students who are undergraduate business majors who are in financial need. Additionally, the students who win the scholarship will be mentored through an internship with one of his many companies.
Diddy was a student at Howard University for two years, dropping out in 1990. He later received an honorary doctorate and gave a commencement speech in 2014.
