Beyoncé Introduces the World to the Carter Twins

Meet Sir and Rumi Carter.

UPDATE (7:35 a.m.): Just as photos surfaced of her first sighting since giving birth, Beyoncé took to Instagram with a photo of herself and the twins. Confirming that their names are in fact Sir and Rumi Carter, the powerhouse entertainer continued the aesthetic of her maternity shoot, donning a blue veil and accenting the occasion with florals. And of course, the Internet rejoiced. See the adorable babies below:

The announcement of the Carter twins will easily go down as one of the biggest pop culture moments of 2017. Since her Instagram unveiling of her two bundles of joy with husband Jay-Z, the world has been on Beyoncé watch, refreshing her timeline for baby bump updates and the like. And while the masses will have to wait a while longer before photos of the babies are shared, it looks like Mama Bey herself may just be ready to resurface after her delivery.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s twins were reportedly born on June 12 and, according to a photo of a suspected hospital visitor, the couple welcomed a baby boy and a baby girl. The names of the twins have also been speculated to be Rumi and Sir, as TMZ reported that the Carters now own trademarks on those names — much like the measure currently being taken for Blue Ivy’s name. Sources also reported that the twins were kept in the hospital over minor complications, but were released days later.
In the first sighting of Beyoncé since the twins’ arrival, Mrs. Carter was caught in a blurry photograph in Malibu, a shot posted by none other than the Hive-renowned Beylite fan page on Instagram. No details were given other than that the pic was taken on Wednesday night (July 12). Since the birth of the twins, Beyoncé has not shared any photos on Instagram or made any posts on her personal website.
If we’re all lucky, Beyoncé will introduce the two new additions to her family online, mirroring the debut of the first Little Miss Carter, whose pics were posted on Queen Bey’s Tumblr blog back in 2012.
This blurry pic is all we get for now, but it’s still all eyes on Beyoncé until the big reveal.
