People Are Shaking Their Heads Over Tiger Woods's Not Guilty Plea for His DUI Arrest After That Mug Shot

The golfer agreed to enter a diversion program as part of the deal.

The image of a haggard Tiger Woods's mugshot over his DUI arrest in May is permanently etched in the minds of anyone who saw it.

And today, the golf legend's lawyer entered a not-guilty plea on his client's behalf to that DUI charge at the Palm Beach County, Florida, courthouse. Under the deal, Woods agreed to enter a diversion program for first-time offenders, as reported by ESPN.

Also, as part of the plea deal, prosecutors are dropping the 41-year-old's DUI charge stemming from his May arrest when he was found asleep behind the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz. At the time, Woods vowed that he was under the influence of a prescription painkiller and an anti-insomnia drug, and not alcohol, but his mugshot didn't help his cause much. Woods will additionally plead guilty to reckless driving on October 25 during a separate hearing.

Although it's good that Woods is seeking the help that he needs, people are still shaking their heads that the former top golfer in the world has reached the point of entering a not guilty plea after that disturbing and ultra-concerning mugshot. Peep these no-chill reactions.
