Watch: Sasha Obama Joins First Family to Serve Thanksgiving Dinner to Veterans

Our favorite First Family.

While the Obama sisters may have broken their tradition of attending the annual turkey pardon yesterday (Nov. 23), Sasha Obama made it up to her parents by joining them in serving veterans a Thanksgiving dinner.

President Obama was in good spirits, mentioning that his girls had a scheduling conflict, but later joking that they "couldn't take [his] jokes anymore."

The First Family celebrated the holiday early, helping serve meals to residents at the Armed Services Retirement Home in Washington, D.C.

Last year, both daughters were present to join their family in serving dinner at the Friendship Place homeless center, but this year Malia Obama was not in attendance.

While the president manned the turkey and gravy stations, Michelle Obama handled serving other traditional sides, with both sporting ear-to-ear smiles.

Earlier in the day, Obama participated in his final turkey pardoning, recruiting his adorable nephews to help him.

Take a look at some footage from the Obama family serving Thanksgiving dinner to veterans in the clip below.
