Gillie Da Kid did not appreciate Cam Newton’s comments about Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts not being an elite NFL quarterback.

Taking to social media, Gillie did not mince words in his response to Newton.

"A good day, Cam Newton. I seen you came at me because I said Jalen Hurts did what you couldn't do. That was when a Super Bowl. 
So you want to get all in your feelings? Man, shut your tight jeans wearin' a** up, man," Gillie said. "You had on a jersey with a bow tie, you corny ass n***a! You will never be able to fuck with Jalen Hurts, ni**a, you super goofy, corny ass n***a!"

Gillie then went to point out that the Hurts already won a Super Bowl and Newton came up short during his playing days.

"What you do? You want MVP? Won a Super Bowl? Win the Super Bowl MVP? And you hating on him? 
'Cause he did what you couldn't do, win a Super Bowl!." Gillie continued. "Anything the two of 'em! So when you hate on him, just know you wasn't better than him."

Gillie’s remarks stemmed from Newton not ranking Hurts as a top-ten QB in the league.

“If we want to argue the point of why Cam did not put Jalen Hurts in his top 10, it’s just because I’ve had this conversation with Jalen Hurts face to face, and these are the facts,” Newton said on his “4th & 1” podcast.

“This is the truth. It’s unfortunate that in his current situation, he will not really be able to showcase what he’s able to fully do on a consistent basis at the quarterback position because of the skill set that’s around him,” Newton continued. “That’s facts.”

As for Hurts, he’s focused on winning another Super Bowl and staying away from all the noise. When asked by a fan what his core values are, Hurts replied with no hesitation about what means the most to him.

“Faith, family, and championships,” Hurts said.
