'Ms Pat Settles It': Lessons Learned from This Week's Episode!

Discover the verdicts and valuable life lessons as Ms Pat and her jury tackle this week.

Ms Pat is back with her jury of peers, DC Curry, DeRay Davis, Mona Love, Carmen Barton, to help her rule on another set of cases. Tonight we have white lies, cheating significant others, and yet another situation where someone is taking advantage of their so-called friend. Here are three lessons we’ve learned from tonight’s episode of Ms Pat Settles It

Tiesia Jones vs Latasha Brigham

Tiesia is suing her roommate for $500 to compensate for unpaid rent and cleaning supplies because La threw disgusting parties and is messy. Latasha says Tiesia is overreacting and that roommates should share everything, even razors. Tiesia tells her side of the story and Latasha sounds trifling. She throws parties and doesn’t clean up and allegedly leaves condoms behind. Tiesia feels like Latasha is taking her kindness for weakness. Latasha claims she does pay her rent but she’s late, sometimes. They’ve been friends for 13 years, but probably not for much longer. Tiesia had proof of Latasha leaving filth behind after her parties, and of using her razor and not cleaning it up. Latasha admitted to it too, and said she didn’t clean it and generally had a lackadaisical attitude about everything. Ms Pat made a good point, Latasha wouldn’t treat Tiesia the way she does if she really loved her and moves in favor of Tiesia in the amount of $2,000. It’s $500 for cleaning supplies and late rent and another $1500 for Tiesia putting up with Latasha’s BS.

Lesson: People are only going to treat you the way you allow them to.

Berry Cox vs Torri Pratt

Berry is suing his fiancee, Torri, for $1200 in damages she caused to his car. Berry says she slashed his tires and took a shovel to the rest of the car and wrote “b--ch” all over it, because of social media. Torri says if he doesn’t want to have his cars destroyed then he needs to stay out of strange women’s dms. Torri owns up to it and says she’d damage the car again if necessary. She doesn’t like his antics, claiming he’s always dm’ing women, liking and leaving comments on their pictures. They’ve been together for four years and have two children. Berry claims he wasn’t cheating when Torri did what he did but that he has cheated in the past. Yikes. Ms Pat asks the question we want to know, which is, if she doesn’t trust him then what put herself through this relationship. Torri says she wants him to change and that she’s crazy in love with him, but she’s not paying for the damages. Ms Pat informs Berry that he created this monster but she still rules in favor of Berry.

Lesson: Walk away from toxic behavior.

Stacy Chaplain vs Leah Lai Hing

Stacy is suing her girlfriend’s sister for $3800 after Leah’s negligent dog sitting duties left Stacy’s apartment completely wrecked. Leah says she owes nothing and she has no idea how Stacy’s place got covered in water and beetles. Stacy said that her apartment is on the beach and Leah left her balcony door open, there was a rainstorm and there was damage by the time Stacy and her girlfriend got back home. Leah said she walked the dog, fed it and left and didn’t open the balcony and has never stepped foot on the balcony. Stacy had to replace the balcony door and had to pay for a deep clean and has proof of the damage. Leah’s sister was there as a witness and also believes that Leah left the door open and said she’s seen Leah on the balcony live streaming. Leah claims she was on the neighbor’s balcony and continues to be shady until finally, Ms Pat calls her bluff. She did it, and Leah finally owns up to it, with her shady self. Ms Pat Rules in favor of the plaintiff.

Lesson: Don’t lie to your sister.
