Megan Thee Stallion Raves About Angel Reese During Interview

The Houston native credited the professional athlete for maintaining an incredible work ethic while managing a massive brand in the spotlight

In a recent interview with USA Today, the Grammy-winning rapper opened up about her admiration for the Chicago Sky star, citing the forward as her top pick in the world of women’s basketball. When asked who she "stans" in the sport, the Houston native did not hesitate to praise the professional athlete’s talent and character.

"Oh, I feel like everybody knows Reese is my girl—that’s my twin," the rapper said during the interview. She highlighted the basketball standout's ability to balance a high-profile lifestyle with a relentless commitment to her sport, noting her impressive string of brand collaborations and her presence in the fashion world.

"She is also a girl who always has the collabs going on," she continued. "She is always working to be so athletic and focused on her craft. She definitely still has an incredible work ethic off the court. So I think that is so cool."

The two stars have shared several public moments of sisterhood over the past few years, from the WNBA star joining the rapper on stage during her "Hot Girl Summer" tour and Lollapalooza to the pair appearing together at the Met Gala. Beyond the glitz of the spotlight, the "Mamushi" artist noted that their connection is also rooted in something a bit more literal: their height.

The 6-foot-3 forward and the nearly 5-foot-10 rapper share a unique perspective that the artist finds refreshing in a room full of people.

"She is so sweet and so nice and I like looking at women eye to eye," the rapper said. "It’s very rare that I come in a room and me and my girls are looking at each other face to face. Tall girls, they get it. When other tall women see each other, we are so excited to see each other."

The Chicago standout is currently gearing up for her third season in the WNBA following a dominant performance with the U.S. senior national team in the 2026 FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament.
