‘Tyler Perry’s The Oval’: A Double Agent Finally Reveals Himself

Even the Secret Service can’t be trusted in this week's political game of thrones.

This week on “Tyler Perry’s The Oval,” we begin the circus with Kyle informing Donald that Jason’s phone pinged off a phone in the White House, but they still can’t find him, so their search is still on. Remember, the last time we saw him, he was at Allen’s house asking for help. Allen is shaken, and rightfully so. He wants Jason to leave because anyone can come busting up in there, plus Dale is in the other room napping. Speaking of, Dale wakes up and discovers their guest. He also wants no part of it and tries to leave, but Kyle is at the door.

Dale turns on the charm and convinces Kyle that he is going to his apartment. Surprisingly, Kyle takes the bait, and both leave. But Allen discovers that Jason has flown the coop. He’s a slippery one.

Let’s fast forward to a major plot twist.

Chaos Unfolds in 'The Oval' as Secrets Unravel and Alliances Fray

Alonzo has been working with Priscilla this entire time. He stops by her place and tells her about how Kareem and Antonio got the tainted drugs from a source in the White House. Priscilla thinks it’s Victoria like Hunter does, but Alonzo says he can’t confirm. He tried to trace the number, but it was scrambled. Alonzo also spills the tea about how Hunter caught Victoria sleeping with Eli. Once Alonzo leaves, Priscilla calls Simone to confirm that her suspicions are true this entire time but also asks her to continue pretending like everything is all good. Simone is better than most because when Eli comes home, she surprisingly keeps it cute and lets him shower, thinking she’s none the wiser.

Let’s get to the end of the episode. Alonzo ends up finding Trina and bringing her to the White House. You know Trina, she’s the wife of the DEA agent. You know, the one who was sleeping with Antonio and spilled the beans about where the laced drugs came from. Hunter questions her and she doesn’t hold back. She plays phone recordings where a voice that sounds uncannily like Victoria’s, is having conversations with the agent about making sure to send the tainted drugs to the pharmacy. There’s also a call where Victoria tells the guy that Hunter isn’t dead but that he’s down for the count with jacked-up kidneys.

Trina has the nerve to tell Hunter that if she had a man as fine as him, there’s nothing she wouldn’t do.

Ok, first of all, how can you not wonder what’s up with Trina? Because she’s the one who cheated on her husband with Antonio. Like, what did her actual husband do to her to get her here? And in case you’re wondering how her husband knows the first lady, he met the Franklins at a charity event. He’s probably cute, too, because we all know Victoria has her eye out for man candy.

Anyway, Hunter goes ham and asks for Alonzo’s gun. He tells her to go down the hallway and blow Victoria’s brains out. Trina wasn’t being that literal when she said she’d do anything so she declined. Hunter backs off, surprisingly, but lets her know that her husband might have a date at the crossroads soon. Trina asks for a week to get his insurance policy together first.

Hunter lets her leave and gives one of his new agents his first assignment: Find Victoria and Eli and arrest them for the attempted assassination of the president of the United States.
