A man claiming to be Afrika Bambaataa’s former bodyguard is claiming something all too unspeakable. According to Shamsideen Shariyf Ali Bey, the hip hop pioneer not only molested young boys over the years – which previous witnesses have now come forward and claimed – he committed sexual assault “hundreds” of times.

The alleged former associate also claims Bambaataa began molesting young boys since the 1970s and that he even walked in on a sexual assault while it was happening.

“There’s always a boy in his house,” he described to Star on his Shot97 show. “When he leaves and gets home, there’s always a boy there. I’ve seen them camped, asking him for money. He travels with late teens, those are the ones he takes overseas with him. When I went with him on tour in the states, I’d stay in one room, and he would have boys in the room with him… Since the 70s, it’s been hundreds… I can say I’ve walked in on stuff where I say, what the f**k is going on?”

This is just the latest revelation in this case, which began when Ronald Savage, a former member of the Zulu Nation, told the New York Daily News about his unorthodox relationship with Bambaataa. He made the initial claim that the “Planet Rock” emcee molested him, which prompted three other people to come forward with their own accounts of sexual misconduct.
