As reported before, on April 30 Mariah delivered twins whom she named Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon. Mariah is still in the hospital and yesterday she welcomed a very unexpected visitor--someone from the Los Angeles Department of Health and Human Services. Apparently, they received a call claiming Carey was partaking in drugs and alcohol while at the hospital.

It's highly unlikely that Mimi would have anything to do with these types of activities mere days after giving labor, but Nick Cannon went on CNN to defend his boo. He told Piers Morgan a nurse suggested the Carey drink a little Guiness beer to help with breast feeding. Of course most new mothers know that this is a common suggestion, as the high levels of yeast in dark beer do in fact promote lactation.

"I don't know if someone heard that or however it took, but I guess then they were saying that my wife was drinking beer and all that stuff. People will do anything to try to conjure up a story."

The twins are only 13 days old and already the Cannon family is having to deal with celebrity scandal. But, luckily, both Mariah and Nick have become adept at avoiding and diffusing this kind of foolishness.
