Phil Jackson Is Not That Impressed With LeBron James

New York Knicks president calls out a flaw in King James's game, says today's NBA lacks structure.

Phil Jackson's trolling again.

The New York Knicks' president wasn't impressed with what he saw during the 2015 NBA playoffs...even by the spectacular play of LeBron James. In sitting down with the Bleacher Report, Jackson said refs let King James get away with traveling and attacked the overall state of the NBA's play.

"When I watch some of these playoff games, and I look at what's being run out there, as what people call an offense, it's really quite remarkable to see how far our game has fallen from a team game," Jackson told Bleacher Report during a May interview that wound up being posted online Monday. "Four guys stand around watching one guy dribble a basketball.

"I watch LeBron James, for example. He might [travel] every other time he catches the basketball if he's off the ball. He catches the ball, moves both his feet. You see it happen all the time," he continued. "There's no structure, there's no discipline, there's no 'How do we play this game' type of attitude. And it goes all the way through the game. To the point where now guys don't screen — they push guys off with their hands."

Is it just us or does the Zen Master seem to be chiming in with his opinions more than ever before since becoming president of the Knicks' organization?

Jackson also criticized the Golden State Warriors, asking for stats on three-point shooting teams. Well, we know how that turned out...with the Warriors winning the NBA title and Jackson congratulating his former player and first-year Warriors coach Steve Kerr via text.

Having won two titles as a player and 11 championships as a coach, Jackson definitely knows basketball. But Knicks fans everywhere are probably more interested in his move during Thursday night's NBA Draft than his feelings about LeBron and overall state of the game. Just saying, Phil.
