Take a First Look at the Cavs' Championship Ring

Diamonds are forever.

The way that LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA title this past June will always be remembered as one of the most meaningful championships in league history.

With the victory over the Golden State Warriors, the Cavs became the first team in NBA Finals history to successfully overcome a 3-to-1 deficit. In doing so, they delivered "The Land" its first major sports championship in 52 years.

Although the victory was instantly immortalized by Cleveland sports fans, it has now been immortalized for the players, too, in the form of their championship rings.

Richard Jefferson, the Cavs' veteran small forward, revealed the team's championship rings on his Snapchat account Tuesday, before later deleting it.

But of course, the internet came away with proof via this screen shot from Fox Sports' Rob Perez.

According to Perez, the rings highlight the Roman numeral "LII" to reference the city's 52-year major sports title drought. It also features The Land's skyline.

Can't front ... they look pretty dope.

But for how King James left the franchise, only to come back and lead it to the championship, he should have been represented on that ring.

What do you think?

The Cavs are scheduled to receive their championship rings at home on October 25, before they host the New York Knicks in their 2016-17 season opener.
