PS5 Console Restock: Where to Find a PlayStation 5 In Stores or Online

March update: GameStop is restocking their PlayStation 5 inventory and Amazon also hinted at a March PS5 restock

PlayStation 5 consoles are still in hot demand. They were nearly impossibly to find during the last holiday season and getting your hands on a PS5 when stores restock is still incredibly difficult.

Update: GameStop announced they will restock its PS5 inventory online and in stores on Friday, March 11. Additionally, Amazon's PS5 page reveals that more units are coming on or before the end of this month.

Like every GameStop PS5 restock, the video game chain's supply will be PS5 bundles only. This means you won't be getting your hands on a standard PS5 for the regular price. The bundles will cost extra and include add-ins like games, PlayStation Plus subscriptions, and possibly additional controllers.

GameStop has not released a list of specific stores that will have PS5 restocks. But you can find your nearest GameStop store location here.

If you're lucky enough to snag a PS5 from GameStop Friday, don't forget to grab the latest PS5 games that just dropped.

While PS5 restocks happened with fairly frequent regularity during December, 2022 has not seen a lot of restocking to meet the PlayStation 5 console demand. Game stores – including GameStop, Best Buy and Walmart  – don't have a set schedule of when they take delivery of new PS5s from Sony. So every time new stock arrives, it's a mad free-for-all and often results in people sharing their disappointment and frustration across social media.

How to Find PS 5 Restock Updates

During the holiday season, shoppers looling for PS5s resorted to joining premium shopping subscription services to skip the long line of gamers and gifters waiting to get their hands on one. Many retailers have taken advantage of the high demand for PS5 consoles to sell memberships to their subscription services.

Best Buy Totaltech Members:

One of Best Buy’s most recent restocks was limited to customers with Best Buy Totaltech Memberships. Their service that costs $200 per year and includes benefits including free, two-day shipping and two-year product protection for all purchases.

In addition to PS5 restock updates, members also get free two-day shipping, prescription drug discounts and more for. Though many who sign up cancel after they get their hands on a new PlayStation, you can save $58 if you sign up for a full year of Walmart+.

GameStop generally releases it's PS5 stock in special bundles. So if  you're lucky enough to find one,  you may be forced to pick up a couple hundred dollars’ worth of additional accessories. Although with alternate bidding sites like StockX inflating the price well beyond retail, paying for bundles may be the best deal out there.
