‘Take Them to Tulum’: Cardi B Mocks Chargers Following Patriots’ Playoff Victory

Grammy winner Cardi B went viral after the New England Patriots’ 16-3 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, mocking the eliminated team on social media as she supported wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B celebrated the New England Patriots’ victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday by posting a social media video mocking the eliminated team.

Following the Patriots’ 16-3 win in the NFL Wild Card round, the artist shared a video on her Instagram Story encouraging the Chargers to begin their offseason vacation, and it was widely circulated online.

"That's what I'm talkin' about! That's what I'm talkin' about!" she said in the clip. "Take them to Tulum! They wanna go to Tulum, tonight, on Delta! Put them on Delta!"

The "Tulum" remark refers to a recurring social media joke in which fans suggest professional athletes travel to Mexico for vacation immediately after their season ends.

Cardi B’s support for the team follows her public relationship with Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Although Diggs was limited to two catches for 16 yards during the defensive-heavy matchup, the New England defense secured the win by recording six sacks against Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.

The victory marks a significant postseason step for the Patriots, who are in their first season with Diggs on the roster. It also marks New England’s first playoff victory in seven years.

With the win, New England advances to the Divisional Round. The team is scheduled to face the Houston Texans on Sunday.
