Lil Uzi Vert Becomes First Rapper To Earn No. 1 Album In 2023

‘Pink Tape’ is the Philly artist’s first LP release since 2020’s ‘Eternal Atake.’

It made headlines recently that a hip-hop album hadn’t topped the charts this late into the year for the first time in 30 years. Now, that streak is being broken.

Lil Uzi Vert has reportedly taken the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart this week with their June 30-released LP Pink Tape. The release also marks the third time the Philly rapper has debuted at No 1. Previously, they topped the same charts with 2017’s Luv Is Rage 2 and 2020’s Eternal Atake.
