‘Get Out’ Star Ethers Critic for a Bad Review
The new film Get Out has been a smash hit both at the box office ($33.4 million) and with critics — the film even scored an incredible 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. That all changed, unfortunately, when film critic and notorious hater Armond White gave the film it's sole negative review.
White's piece, which was published by The National Review, said, "Get Out is the recrudescence of Obama-era unconsciousness. Reducing racial politics to trite horror-comedy" and called the film an "Obama movie for Tarantino fans." Sadly, his negative review brought Get Out's 100 percent score down to 99 percent — and one of the film's stars is pissed.
Lakeith Stanfield, who plays a supporting role in Get Out and is best known for his breakout role of Darius in Atlanta, had no problem telling White just how he felt about his review:
